<p>Terrorist attacks have nowadays become an important issue for the structural design of constructions such as bridges. Indeed, during last decades, increase in number terrorist has resulted loss many human lives and socio-economic impact on our society. The aims this research consist a series preliminary analyses view study effects explosion long-span suspension bridge. As bridge was considered project over Strait Messina, having main span 3300 meters. structure modeled using ABAQUS/Explicit software beams-type 3D finite element modeling. objectives are double. first one is pressures generated by explosive charge to model phenomenon numerical simulations while, second objective, test different discretizations reliable response.</p>
